A mushroom a day may not keep the doctor away, but mushrooms are a good natural and healthy food to add to your menu.
Mushrooms are low fat, high protein, and high in a range of vitamins. Current scientific research also indicates that mushrooms contain a range of potential health benefits that are sorely needed in today's world.
We aren't talking about those pale shadows that line the grocery store shelves and go by the name of White Button either! We're talking about much more interesting fungi, including Lion's Mane, Nameko, Kuritake, Truffles, and Porcini. All the more flavorful mushrooms you've heard of, and a few you haven't. And of course, the ubiquitous Shiitake, Enoki, and Maitake.
We don't just eat fungus, we also grow fungus. Mushroom cultivation is a lot less difficult than you might have been told it is!
All of the mushrooms here are strictly edible. Many need to be cooked thoroughly, but all of these mushrooms are eaten regularly by people who lived to tell about it. We are NOT into illegal substances, and we don't mess around with mind-altering substances. The only mind altering we are into, is educating people to help them enjoy a healthier life, and producing something for themselves. I give you leave to roll your eyes and think of us as boring people. If you do, I will just pity you and hope that someday you discover what real fun is!
In the mean time, we've got lots of new mushrooms to try, and we invite you to explore and find a few for yourself!
